A method and an apparatus for correcting location information of a mobile terminal are provided to provide precise location information by using a type of a location measurement value and a road configuration of the downtown area. A handler(210) receives location measurement information of multiple mobile terminals from a network and environment information, namely, data including a position of a base station, a road or a building disposition. A measurement information DB(Database)(220) and an environment information DB(230) store the received location measurement information of the multiple mobile terminals and the environment information. An analyzing unit(240) generates a correction map by analyzing the stored location measurement information and the environment information. A correction map storage unit(250) stores the generated correction map. A service providing unit(260) provides a service including a corrected location estimated value return message, a correction value return message, or a correction value broadcast to a mobile terminal that requests a location service. |
