<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus for a mobile capable of changing its installation place in response to conditions on the side of the mobile such as a vehicle, and having a high degree of installation freedom, while maintaining the function of sensing etc. <P>SOLUTION: The radar apparatus includes a sensor body 2 for transmitting/receiving an electric wave 1, and a dielectric prism 3 which is arranged in an electric wave path for passing the electric wave 1 through and is used as a path changing means for changing the travelling direction of the electric wave 1 by refraction and/or reflection. Even when an area for installing the sensor body 2 is limited by the conditions on the side of the mobile such as a vehicle on which this radar apparatus for the mobile is mounted, installation of the sensor body 2 in that limited installation area becomes possible, by changing the travelling direction of the electric wave 1 suitably, while maintaining the functions of the sensor body 2 properly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
