<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which a period of time until canceling the notification of status information to a specific external apparatus can be dynamically determined at an electronic apparatus side which reports the status information. <P>SOLUTION: In response to a registration request of an event notification from a client, it is discriminated whether registration is possible or not, and an upper limit value for the number of times of notification to a client for whom registration is discriminated possible is set and registered (S702). According to the generation of an event corresponding to the event notification, the registered client is notified about the generation of the relevant event (S705-S713) and when the number of times of notification reaches the upper limit value, the registration of the registered client is invalidated (S714). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
