PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage optical multiplexer/demultiplexer capable of reducing insertion loss and allowed to be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The multistage optical multiplexer/demultiplexer is provided with a pair of first input/output optical fibers arranged so that their end faces are opposed to each other, a transmission fiber arranged between the pair of first input/output optical fibers and optically coupled with the pair of first input/output optical fibers, and at least two optical filter members having filter surfaces inclined from the axial direction of the pair of first input/output optical fibers and the transmission fiber and arranged between the first input/output optical fibers and the transmission fiber.
