PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improver of swallowing difficulty, ensuring very high safety, and facilitating the administration. SOLUTION: The improver of the swallowing difficulty comprises a liquid preparation containing 0.1-0.4% (w/v) hyaluronic acid (HA) having 500,000-1,200,000 weight average molecular weight or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. When it is a liquid medicine, it is used as a spray preparation or a gargling agent (including mouth wash, oral rinse, liquid dentifrice and the like). When used as the spray agent, a spray container is filled with the artificial saliva. The spray container may be a pressure-resistant spray container filled with an expandable gas in combination with the artificial saliva. A gas exhibiting acidity in a dissolved state is preferable as the expandable gas because the gas has effects for keeping the HA stably.
