PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insecticidal or nematocidal agent synergistically enhanced in the controlling effects of both of a known insecticide and a nematocide compared with the case that each of them is used for controlling insect pests singly. SOLUTION: An insecticidal or nematocidal composition is provided, being characterized in comprising as active ingredients at least one organophosphorus-based nematocide selected from the group consisting of S-sec-butyl O-ethyl 2-oxo-1,3-thiazolidin-3-yl phosphonothioate, O-ethyl-S-n-propyl(2-cyanoimino-3-ethyl-imidazolidin-1-yl)phosphonothiolate and S,S-di-sec-butyl O-ethyl phosphorodithioate and an organophosphorus-based insecticide.
