CLEANSING COMPOSITION

Disclosed is a cleansing composition which shows little irritation to the skin or the like, has excellent foamability, generate creamy foam, and has good rinsing properties. The cleansing composition comprises the following components (A), (B) and (C): (A) a phosphoric acid ester surfactant mixture of (a<SUB>1</SUB>) a phosphoric acid monoester surfactant represented by the general formula (1) and (a<SUB>2</SUB>) a phosphoric acid diester surfactant represented by the general formula (2), wherein the content ratio between the components [(a<SUB>1</SUB>)/(a<SUB>2</SUB>)] is 90/10 to 50/50 by weight;. (B) a sulfuric acid ester surfactant represented by the general formula (3); and (C) (C-1) at least one glyceryl ether having a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms and (C-2) at least one member selected from compounds represented by the general formula (4).
