A construction material, a construction material set and a method for selecting surface patterns of a construction material are provided to exhibit external appearance of a random texture pattern arrangement as a whole after construction and to have continuity of textures over adjacent construction materials. A construction material set includes many construction materials used as an external wall panel or a roof material constructed on an external wall portion or a roof portion of a building, and a method for selecting surface patterns of a construction material is used to have continuity of textures for exhibiting external appearance of a random texture pattern arrangement as a whole after construction and having continuity of texture over adjacent construction materials, wherein said each construction material has surface patterns composed of island-shaped convex portions and joint portions, and said convex portion includes first convex portions(A1L,A1R,A2L,A2R) placed over adjacent construction materials and second convex portions(a1~a22) surrounded by the joint portions, wherein the first convex portions have a common texture with all of the construction materials of the construction material set and the second convex portions have randomly arranged textures different on every construction material. |
