<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film suppressed in yellowing and reduction of molecular weight, and cellulose resin pellets for producing the optical film by a melt-casting film formation method. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose resin pellets are produced at least by melting a cellulose resin and satisfy the following formulas (1) and (2); formula 1: b*(after)-b*(before)≤0.20; formula 2: Mw(after)/Mw(before)≥0.95 [wherein b* expresses b* of L*a*b* color system; b*(after) expresses the b* value measured after melting the pellets; b*(before) expresses b* measure befor melting the pellets; Mw(after) expresses a weight average molecular weight after melting the pellets; Mw(before) expresses a weight average molecular weight before melting the pellets].
