<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and a transmission/reception method of efficiently taking synchronization of a TTS (time stamp attached transfer stream) packet via a network. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver includes: an I/F section 21 for receiving the TTS packet via the network; a TTS packet buffer section 25 for temporarily storing the TTS packet; a clock section 26 for counting a clock signal; a monitoring adjustment section 24 for evaluating the TTS packet on the basis of time and controlling a clock rate of the clock section in response to the evaluation on the basis of time; a decode section 24 for decoding the TTS packet in response to the clock signal to output a TS packet; and an MPEG decode section 29 for applying MPEG decode processing the TS packet supplied from a TTS decoder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
