PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent positional shift of a sensor unit, generated when a pipette is inserted and pulled out. SOLUTION: First and second holding units 76 and 77 are provided on a placing stand 43 on which the sensor unit 11 is placed and locked with a prism 23 for holding the sensor unit 11. First and second pressing members 81 and 94 for pressing the protruded part 23b of the prism 23 are provided to respective holding units 76 and 77, and the holding force in the Z-axis direction vertical to the placing surface of the placing stand is given by the first and second pressing members 81 and 94.
