PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control device capable efficiently analyzing the cause of an abnormal state regardless of the degree of the abnormal state of a machine tool, and to provide an abnormality processing method by the numerical control device. SOLUTION: In work processing, coordinate values of the next stop point to stop a main shaft are sequentially calculated and stored in a RAM. In abnormality analysis processing, it is determined whether the coordinate values calculated in the preceding work processing is stored in the RAM (S31), and it is determined as to the sameness between the current coordinate values calculated in the current work processing and the preceding coordinate values stored in the RAM (S32). When the current coordinate values are different from the preceding coordinate values (S32: NO), information for failure analysis is prepared (S34) together with an operation history or the like and stored in the RAM (S35) because it can be presumed that some kind of a failure occurs.
