PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a simple map having immediacy, from a photo image data obtained by an imaging device. SOLUTION: By using a digital camera, a global positioning system (GPS), an electronic compass, a numeric map database and a personal computer, with excellent portability and high performance, which can be easily and inexpensively obtained, a position/attitude of the camera is obtained, and a computer image created from the numeric map data, in which the same direction as the photo image is viewed, is created, and the photo image is overlapped with the computer image, and position information is reversely projected to the overlapped image. Thereby, a map corresponding to the photo image is obtained and a moving image can be obtained by utilizing a video or a frame advance image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
