PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic which has excellent compatibility with skins and excellent moisture-retaining power, is little sticky, and gives an excellent touch of use. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is characterized by containing 0.5 to 10 wt.% of raffinose and 0.05 to 0.5 wt.% of gellan gum. This cosmetic has excellent moisture-retaining power and excellent compatibility with the skins, is little sticky, and gives excellent touch of use by the synergistic action of the added two ingredients.
