摘要 A method of sensing hydrogen gas (H<SUB>2</SUB>) and apparatus utilise as the steps of: - exposing a hydrogen sensing element to an environment in which H<SUB>2</SUB> is to be measured - bringing the hydrogen sensing element to a first temperature T<SUB>1</SUB> - recording (directly or indirectly) an output O<SUB>1</SUB> related to a hydrogen pressure dependent property of the hydrogen sensing element, in response to H<SUB>2</SUB> - bringing the hydrogen sensing element to a second temperature T<SUB>2</SUB> - recording (directly or indirectly) an output O<SUB>2</SUB> related to a hydrogen pressure dependent property of the hydrogen sensing element, in response to H<SUB>2</SUB>, and - determining the H<SUB>2</SUB> content of the environment by manipulating or comparing outputs O<SUB>1</SUB> and O<SUB>2</SUB>.
