INK COMPOSITION FOR INKJET RECORDING, RECORDING METHOD AND RECORDED MATTER

Disclosed is an ink composition which exhibits excellent gloss on various recording media, particularly on photographic printing paper-based gloss paper, while being good in recovering property from clogging and handling property of resulting recorded matters. This ink composition is also excellent in ejection stability and color reproduction. Specifically disclosed is an ink composition for inkjet recording which contains at least a coloring agent, water, an alkane diol and a surface active agent. The alkane diol contains a water-soluble 1,2-alkane diol and a water-soluble alkane diol having a hydroxyl group at both ends of the main chain, and a polyorganosiloxane is used as the surface active agent.
