A wear assembly comprising an adapter (14) having a rear mounting end (21) for securing the assembly to a wear surface (23) and a forwardly extending nose (18) having a pair of rails (35); a wear member (12) defining a longitudinal axis (X) and including a pair of converging walls (43,45) extending to a narrowed front working end (51), a pair of sidewalls (47,49), and a rearwardly opening socket (53) having a pair of grooves (65) each on opposite sides of the socket for receiving the rails, wherein each groove diverges from a plane aligned with the longitudinal axis and extending along the narrowed front working end; and a lock (16) for securing the wear member to the adapter. |
