APPARATUS FOR MAKING FROZEN YOGURT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

A system for making frozen yogurt is provided to allow users to make frozen yogurt easily in their homes with no need for exchanging a container, and to permit production of various types of frozen yogurt and gel-like or liquid yogurt. A system for making frozen yogurt comprises: a housing(10); a heat conductive container(16) into which yogurt ingredients are introduced; a heating unit having a heater(24) generating heat by the application of an electric power and heating the ingredients to a lactic acid bacteria fermentation temperature; a cooling unit for cooling the fermented ingredients to a refrigerating or freezing temperature through a freezing cycle caused by the application of an electric power; an agitation unit(40) having agitation blades(44) rotated by a driving motor; and a control unit(50) for controlling the heating unit, cooling unit and agitation unit selectively to provide frozen yogurt.
