A method that can prepare silver nano-powder with very uniform particle size distribution by using an electrolysis method having a simple preparation process, high productivity and low process cost is provided. A preparation method of silver nano-powder using electrolysis comprises adding sodium naphthalinesulfonic acid as a dispersant into an electrolyte containing silver(Ag) ions; installing an anode and a cathode in the electrolyte; and applying an electric current to the anode and the cathode. The silver ions are contained in the electrolyte at the concentration range of 5 to 50 g/L. The electrolyte containing silver ions is an aqueous silver nitrate(AgNO3) solution. The sodium naphthalinesulfonic acid of 1 to 5 wt.% is added into the electrolyte based on the weight of the electrolyte containing silver ions. The anode is a platinum plate or a silver plate, and the cathode is a stainless steel plate. The electric current is applied to the cathode such that a current density of the cathode is ranged from 20 to 200 mA/cm^2.
