<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vapor-phase-method silica dispersion of high concentration and low viscosity. <P>SOLUTION: This silica dispersion contains alumina doped silica, a cyclic ammonium salt type cationic resin, a water-soluble polyvalent metal salt and a water-based medium.
