<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch capable of suppressing a secondary disaster which occurs at the restoration of power interruption caused by the occurrence of a disaster such as an earthquake while suppressing malfunction. <P>SOLUTION: When predetermined vibration is detected by a vibration sensing device 14, a vibration detection signal is output from a vibration detecting relay circuit and input to an overcurrent detecting circuit 46 of a control device 13. Then the control device 13 is put in a tripping operation preparing state (in the power interruption waiting state of an electric line). When the power to the electric line is interrupted, the control device 13 puts a switch body into tripping operation, that is, the switch body is opened when detecting vibration attended with power interruption. The secondary disaster caused by the return of power can thereby be prevented even if a load facility has collapsed or the like. The control device does not put the switch body in tripping operation in the case of detecting vibration not attended with power interruption.
