<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of suppressing a change with time of a blurring margin linked with coating liquid properties as a problem when a plurality of strips of porous heatproof layers are provided on the surface of an electrode, and avoiding cutting-defect heat at separation into each strip. <P>SOLUTION: The forming method of the porous heatproof layer contains a process of making run an electrode made by providing a mixture layer containing an active material on a core material, and applying coating liquid as a precursor of the porous heatproof layer on the surface of the electrode by rotating a gravure roll with grooves provided at a peripheral face in a direction contrary to its running direction kept in contact with the electrode. A scratching part is provided for continuously removing part of coating liquid coated on the surface of the electrode past the gravure roll as it is made in contact with the surface of the electrode, and a width of the scratching part to be in contact with the electrode is changed in correspondence with change of a width of the porous heatproof layer formed after continuous removal of the coating liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
