<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel electrode for a fuel cell capable of restraining irreversible degradation, and a fuel cell equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel electrode (3) for the fuel cell contains catalyst for promoting protonation of fuel gas, water electrolysis catalyst, and a material having a bamboo-basket crystal structure. With the material having the bamboo-basket crystal structure, oxygen generated by electrolysis of water is quickly drained. Therefore, when power generation product water is protonated for proton generation at fuel shortage, irreversible degradation of the fuel electrode can be restrained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
