<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure capable of suppressing a temperature rise inside a bearing so as to enable high speed operation, prevent each of spherical rollers 3, 3 from being damaged at the time of assembling, and reduce wear occurring at a sliding part between a rolling surface of each of the spherical rollers 3, 3 and a side face in the circumferential direction of each column parts 8a, 8a during an operation. <P>SOLUTION: Surface hardened layers 13, 13 are formed by applying a DLC coating or a ceramic coating such as a titanium alloy over a range including circumferential side edges of tip ends of the column parts 8a, 8a. Thereby, the hardness of the circumferential side edges of the tip ends of the column parts 8a, 8a is improved, and anti-friction performance and a sliding characteristic are improved.
