PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for generating a typical image that are easy to distinguish among a plurality of pictures. SOLUTION: A picture acquiring part 11A acquires and records digital picture data on a storage medium 90A. A resembling part detector 12 generate resembling picture section information for distinguishing between resembling picture sections and other sections in the acquired picture data. A caption control information generator 31 generates information of a typical picture selected among resembling parts, information of a typical picture selected from others, and a caption selected information. A listing controller 41 selects a set of picture data for a listing object from the storage medium 90A, and a listing condition determiner 42 determines mutual similarity relation of the selected set of picture data, to select either of two typical pictures information regarding each picture data. A caption generator 52 acquires information on the selected typical picture from the caption control information generator 31 and prepares representative still image data for display.
