PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve transmission beam control taking into account a spatial angle spread based on each received signal of a plurality of paths. SOLUTION: A reception correlation matrix arithmetic section 13 obtains a correlation matrix after demodulation by a reception demodulation section 131 by each path detected by a path detection section 132 from a signal received by an array antenna section 11, a correlation matrix summation section 133 summates the correlation matrices to obtain a correlation matrix per mobile station. A horizontal plane direction estimate section 14 estimates a direction of mobile stations on the basis of the correlation matrix obtained by the correlation matrix summation section 133, and a space angle spread estimate section 15 estimates a space angle spread of a propagation path corresponding to each mobile station. A transmission beam control section 16 calculates a transmission array weight vector for each mobile station by using estimate results of the horizontal plane direction estimate section 14 and the space angle spread estimate section 15 and an array antenna characteristic measured in advance and stored in an array antenna characteristic storage section 17, and outputs the vector to a transmission beam generating section 18, for carrying out transmission beam control.
