PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure such a structure as making the front/back inversion movement of a liquid crystal section possible by suppressing projection of a hinge at the movable section, and making the slide operation possible by suppressing impairment of durability of the liquid crystal section due to surface exposure. SOLUTION: The portable telephone comprises an upper side case 10 having an upper side substrate 11 and a KEY section 13, a lower side case 20 having a lower side substrate 21 and a liquid crystal section 23, a hinge 30 for coupling both cases 10 and 20 to open/close freely, and an FPC 40 for connecting both substrates 11 and 21. The hinge 30 has a protrusion 31 on the opposite side faces 10c, 10d side of the upper side case 10, and a recess 32 on the opposite side faces 20c, 20d side of the lower side case 20. The upper side case 10 performs first stage slide operation, rotary operation, and second stage slide operation for the lower side case 20. The FPC 40 connects both substrates 11 and 21 by passing on the left side surface 10c of the upper side case 10 and its state varies flexibly in correspondence with the first stage slide operation, the rotary operation, and the second stage slide operation.
