PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture an oil separator for a refrigerant cycle, having high oil separation performance. SOLUTION: This oil separator 2 for the refrigerant cycle, separating oil from the refrigerant discharged from a compressor 10 constituting the refrigerant cycle, comprises a main body 3 provided with an oil outlet 3B at its lower portion, and a refrigerant outlet 3A at an upper portion with respect to the oil outlet 3B, and a refrigerant pipe 96 as a refrigerant introduction pipe, inserted into the main body 3 and opened in the main body 3 at its tip, the tip of the refrigerant pipe 96 is butted to an inner face of the main body 3, and the tip is partially cut into the shape separating from the inner face of the main body 3.
