PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission capable of inhibiting foreign matter from entering abutment section of a seal member and a pump drive shaft, and of smoothly rotating the pump drive shaft. SOLUTION: A sleeve 35 is installed in an oil pump body 21 constructing an oil pump housing with penetrating the same via a bearing 36, and the sleeve 35 rotates based on a rotation drive of a torque converter 17. Also, a seal ring 39 regulating flow out of ATF for lubricating the bearing to the torque converter 17 side along an outer circumference surface 35b of the sleeve 35 is provided between the sleeve 35 and the oil pump body 21. Moreover, a cover member 43 covering over a sliding section 42 of the sleeve 35 and the seal ring 39 is mounted on a front end part 21b of the oil pump body 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
