PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference of a boot shoulder part 16d and a boot band ear 17a, prevent a bellows valley part 16c' from being pinched between a case end edge 11a and a shaft 12, and allow smooth fitting of a boot large diameter part 16a to a case outer peripheral face. SOLUTION: A length L of the shoulder part 16d of the boot 16 covering the case (outer ring) 11 and the shaft 12 is set so that the shoulder part 16d deforms in an externally projecting arc at a maximum working angleθof the shaft 12. By this setting, even when the shaft 12 inclines at the maximum working angleθ, the shoulder part 16d bulges arcuately, the boot band ear 17a is hardly touched, and even when it is touched, because it is not pressed strongly, the shoulder part 16d does not interfere with the ear 17a, there is no risk of the boot band shift. Further, the valley part 16c' near the case 11 rises with the deformation of the shoulder part 16d, so that the valley part 16c' is not pinched between the shaft 12 and the case end edge 11a. The large diameter part 16a is fitted to the outer peripheral face of the case by pressing a rib 19 of the shoulder part outer peripheral face. This action is smooth. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
