摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for wheel of fourth generation structure with reduced weight and size and with improved safety and reliability. SOLUTION: In the bearing device for wheel of fourth generation structure, a hub wheel 1 and an outer joint member 10 are integrally and plastically joined by widening-caulking. A diameter of a joint part 20 between the hub wheel 1 and the outer joint member 10 is set to be larger than a diameter of a serration 11a of a joint inner ring 11 of a constant velocity universal joint 3 and an opening part of the joint part 20 is joined by laser welding, so that the joint part 20 is higher in strength of a drive shaft connected with the joint inner ring, and thermal influence is suppressed to acquire deep and sharp joint part 24, and deformation of a bearing part or reduction in hardness can be prevented.
