PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a warm lock, when simultaneously using an electric driving means, when requiring restarting, in an automatic stopping system. SOLUTION: When driving a starter motor 36 in a relatively small state of a leak quantity Q<SB>L</SB>of fuel, after driving the starter motor, the fuel is cut to a cylinder meeting with a compression stroke in the first place. When performing restarting control by simultaneously using the starter motor 36, since self-ignition can be surely prevented in the cylinder meeting with the compression stroke after driving the starter motor 36, the warm lock is avoided, and startability can be enhanced.
