PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure a flip-down (FD) value and a flip-up (FU) value of a cap with a projection part without generating a personal error of a measuring person, while reducing a measuring error, and to allow the measurement under a stable measuring condition. SOLUTION: This inspection method has a decompression process for attaching the cap 27 with the projection part to an opening part of a dummy container 2 provided with a pressure sensor 8, and for decompressing internal pressure of the dummy container, and a pressurizing process for pressurizing an inside of the dummy container, followed to the decompression process, a microphone 23 detects a sound when the projection part of the cap with the projection part is flipped down in the decompression process, and a sound when the projection part is flipped up in the pressurizing process, a timing signal is generated with the detection of the sound, and the internal pressure in the dummy container is read out in the instant thereof from the pressure sensor 8, to be displayed as the flip-down value and the flip-up value.
