The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising 8-oxo- deoxyguanosine as an active ingredient, use of the composition for the manufacture of a medicament for treating allergic diseases, and a method for treating allergic diseases by using 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine. The pharmaceutical composition comprising 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine as an active ingredient that 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine reduces release of mediators such as histamine and leukotrienes by inhibiting calcium influx into mast cells, thereby suppressing activities of several Rho family proteins and suppresses various allergic symptoms in animal allergic asthma model. Therefore, the present composition can be effectively used as a medicament for treating allergic diseases.
