The planar unit has two layers (4, 18), where the layer (18) has an attachment section (20) and a wing section (22), where the planar unit is made of paperboard or cardboard. The sections are connected with each other along a connection area (24) in a tiltable manner. The attachment section (20) is sectionally connected with the layer (4). The wing section (22) has a projection (28) formed at the connecting area such that that the deviation of the wing section (22) around 90 degrees to the layer (4) causes an engagement of the projection with the layer (4). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a package for plat-shaped package goods.
