PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING LIPOSOME DISPERSION

An industrially useful process for producing a liposome dispersion. In the step of liposome formation through the dispersion of a membrane substance in an aqueous medium, a liquid obtained by dissolving or dispersing the membrane substance and the aqueous medium are ejected respectively through (161a) and (161b) and, simultaneously therewith, these ejection flows are pulverized en bloc into fine droplets with a high-speed air flow ejected through a liquid ejection opening (162). The resultant droplets are caused to collide against a flow check object (190) to cause reaggregation and thereby produce the target dispersion. This production process facilitates solvent removal and does not necessitate a defoaming operation. Thus, a liposome dispersion can be efficiently prepared.
