PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video signal reproducing device capable of providing a user interface easy to use for a user of each of equipment by performing optimal picture display for various kinds of televisions. SOLUTION: Display picture information such as a picture size or the number of displayable pixels is acquired from the external monitor of a connected television or the like and on the basis of the information, information related to a thumbnail image is added in a thumbnail display picture, thereby achieving optimal picture display.
