<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for recovering copper in which metal copper is deposited by continuing the electrolysis and at the same time, advancing the oxidation to reduce the concentration of univalent copper ion in an anode chamber with the prevention of the generation of oxygen in the method and the apparatus for recovering copper by electrolyzing an ammonia alkaline solution containing univalent copper to deposit metal copper. <P>SOLUTION: In the method and the apparatus for recovering copper, the metal copper is deposited by providing a cathode for depositing the metal copper and the anode chamber in which an anode selected from a porous base material, a conductive fibrous material and a conductive particle is mounted inside a diaphragm, electrolyzing the solution containing univalent copper ion while supplying the solution to the anode chamber to produce 2-valent copper ion and electrolyzing the ammonia alkaline solution containing univalent copper ion with the discharge of the produced 2-valent copper ion from the anode chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
