The invention relates to an aqueous bitmen emulsion, comprising bitumen and a surfactant agent, made from esters or amides of glycine betaine, produced by reaction of glycine betaine with a sulphonic acid and an alcohol or amine with a fatty chain derived from vegetable oils. Said bitmen emulsion may be used in the production of road surfaces.
