Process for electrodeposition on small workpieces (7) involving:(A) preparation of a rotatateable plating drum (53) of rotation axis L and a number of spatially separated separating plates (537), (B) fixing of the drum in a coating container (52) with the rotation axis at an angle to the horizontal, (C) loading of a number of small workpieces into the drum, and (D) rotation of the drum so that the workpieces fall under gravity from one separation plate to another. An independent claim is included for a small workpiece electrodeposition unit.
