<p>A vibration damper having increased durability achieved by preventing stress concentration in a partition wall section to avoid an excessive increase in strain in that section. An intermediate tube (20) is fitted to the inner peripheral surface of an outer tube fitting (16), and a rubber elastic body (22) is placed between a mounting fitting (18) and the intermediate tube (20) to elastically connect them. A first hollow section and a second hollow section are formed in those portions of the rubber elastic body (22) which correspond to portions on the inner peripheral side of the small diameter section (20B) of the intermediate tube (20). Partition wall sections (22D) for partitioning the hollow sections from each other are formed in portions of the rubber elastic body (22) between the first hollow section and the second hollow section. Both ends (23) of the partition wall sections (22D) of the rubber elastic body (22) are fitted into a pair of openings (44, 46) of the intermediate tube (20) so as to project from the openings (44, 46) to the outer tube fitting (16) side.</p>
