METHOD FOR LASER INTERLOCKING OF USING HUMAN DETECTION SENSOR IN IMAGE PROJECTOR AND APPARATUS THEREOF

A method and an apparatus for blocking laser in an image projector are provided to suppress unnecessary blocking of laser by checking whether an obstacle is sensed using a human detection sensor and blocking the laser according to the checked result. A projection-directional screen, on which laser corresponding to an image is applied from an image projector, is monitored by using a human detection sensor(S502). When an obstacle is sensed from the projection-directional screen, a temperature of the obstacle is measured by absorbing infrared rays emitted from the obstacle(S505). The measured temperature value of the obstacle is compared with a predetermined temperature range(S506). When the temperature of the obstacle is within the predetermined temperature range, the operation of the image projector is stopped to block the laser corresponding to the image(S508).
