<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holographic recording composition which is excellent in stability to water and from which a holographic optical recording medium can be efficiently produced, its manufacturing method, and an optical recording medium using the holographic recording composition. <P>SOLUTION: The holographic recording composition is characterized by including a polymer prepared by ring opening polymerization of a compound having an oxazoline ring, a radical polymerizable monomer and a photopolymerization initiator. The embodiment that the polymer prepared by ring opening polymerization of the compound having oxazoline ring has a repeating unit expressed by general formula (1) is preferable.
