<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely generate a spectral estimation image from a color image stored in an image data base. <P>SOLUTION: In an image generating means 40, the color image P for generating the spectral estimation image SP is selected from the inside of the image data base 10. In this case, inherent information F1 and photographing site information F2 are acquired along with the color image P. Subsequently, gain adjustment, which is applied to the color image P, is initialized by a gain initializing means 30. In a coefficient acquiring means 42, a conversion coefficient C is acquired from a coefficient data base 41 on the basis of the inherent information F1 and the photographing site information F2. The color image P is subjected to matrix conversion processing by using the selected conversion coefficient C, so that the spectral estimation images SP1-SP3 composed of predetermined spectral wavelengths can be generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
