CELL FOR FUEL CELL, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell for a fuel cell used for providing a polymer electrolyte fuel cell excelling in power generation performance; to provide its manufacturing method; and to provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell excelling in power generation performance.

SOLUTION: This cell 1a for a fuel cell is provided with: an electrolyte membrane 30; sheet-like or plate-like conductive porous bodies 20a and 40 stacked on each other to sandwich the electrolyte membrane 30 and each containing an ionized catalyst at least on the electrolyte membrane 30 side; and sheet-like separators 10 and 50 stacked on each other to sandwich the electrolyte membrane 30 and the conductive porous bodies 20a and 40, and having a supply opening and a discharge opening for a fluid formed therein. At least the one-side conductive porous body 20a is a conductive fiber-containing porous body containing a binding resin and a conductive fiber; and the conductive fiber-containing porous body has an orientation layer 21a with the conductive fiber oriented in the flowing direction of the fluid. This polymer electrolyte fuel cell 1 has the cell 1a for a fuel cell.
