<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address resolution for converter devices for connecting ATM networks through LAN such as Ethernet(R) or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The converter devices 2-1 to 2-3 for connecting a plurality of ATM networks through the LAN3 are provided with: an address mapping table for mapping and storing external VPIs, internal VPIs uniquely allocated to the LAN3, and opposed MAC addresses for opposed converter devices; a first delivery means to deliver a frame whose external VPI of a header in a cell from the ATM network is changed to the internal VPI by referencing the address mapping table and an opposing MAC address corresponding to the internal VPI is added to the LAN3; and a second delivery means to remove the opposed MAC address from the frame received from the LAN3 by referencing the address mapping table and to control to deliver the cell with the internal VPI changed to the external VPI to the ATM network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
