PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer luminescent material that emits light of various colors in high luminous efficiency and has a long life, and to provide an organic EL element and a display device that can be manufactured by a simplified process and also can achieve a display having a large area and is excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The polymer luminescent material comprises a polymer containing a structural unit derived from an iridium complex represented by general formula (1), wherein at least one of the ring formed by Z<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>1</SP>and C<SP>2</SP>, the ring formed by Z<SP>2</SP>, C<SP>3</SP>and N, and the ring formed by Z<SP>3</SP>and N has a polymerizable functional group or a substituent having a polymerizable functional group; and A represents an atom or a group selected from the group consisting of a fluorine atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom, -SCN, -NCS, -OCN and -NCO.
