PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflector-type ball screw device capable of reducing a lead of a screw groove as much as possible by improving a deflector. SOLUTION: In the deflector-type ball screw device comprising a screw shaft 20 and a nut 21 screwed with the screw shaft 20 via balls 24, a plurality of ball circulation paths 40 through which the balls are circulated by the deflectors 25 mounted on the nut are arranged in parallel in the axial direction. Each deflector includes a substantially elliptic leg portion 33 fitted in a fitting hole 31 formed in the nut. The leg portion is provided with a generally S-shaped return groove 35 for returning the balls from one screw groove to its adjacent screw groove. Cut-off portions 53a, 53b are formed by cutting protrusion parts 53, 54 extending from both of longitudinally outer side end edges 51, 52 of the leg portion and protruding into the adjacent ball circulation paths.
