RAKE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RECEIVING MULTI-PATH IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A rake receiver and method in a mobile communication system are provided to shorten processing time by simultaneously performing multi-path searching and paging indicator demodulation operation in online. A searcher(721) receives a signal outputted from an RF terminal, searches a signal of a multi-path, calculates an energy value of each hypothesis, and outputs it. A demodulator(723) demodulates a PI(Paging Indicator) with respect to a hypothesis having energy exceeding a path valid threshold value among the energy values of each hypothesis calculated by the searcher(721).
