An apparatus and a method for selecting an image of an image display device are provided to individually perform the edit of an image. When the power on command is inputted to an image display device by a user, a process for discriminating the camera designation setting menu is selected is performed(S101,S102). If the camera designation setting menu is selected, a process for discriminating whether the present broadcasting is the digital broadcasting and the images photographed by different cameras are received at every sub channel is performed(S103).
